I have a few funny things to share that the girls have said over the last few days. I will post a longer update over the weekend when I have more time (end of year craziness going on at school)!
Here are Emma's:
Emma saw our neighbour mowing the lawn the other day and said "hey mom, dat guy vaccuming de gwass!" We were at the park and she was running along the rocks that are along the perimeter of the park. I said "why don't you go on the slide, or the climber?" and she said "no sanks, I need to do my exercises!" At the same park trip, I was pushing her on the swing and she said "daddy do it higher, you need to do it like dad." I said "I am not as strong as dad, I am doing my best." A few days later we were at the swings again and I guess she liked how high I pushed her because she said "dat's it mama, you getting stronger like dad!" And finally, Maddie was upstairs with me and Emma was hanging with John. John said "let's go find Maddie" and Emma called for her by saying "Maddie sweetheart." John said she sounded exactly like me, as that is how I call for them.
Here are Maddie's: Halfway through an ice cream sandwhich (which she takes eons to finish) we decided she needed to go to a walk-in as she had a very high fever. When she came back, she said "hi mummy, where my sammich?" I couldn't figure out what she meant and then she finally said "where my brown one sammich wif white inside?" and then I had to explain that it was in mummy's tummy! Oops! Last night I was alone with the girls and it was time for a bath. I said "ok girls, time for your bath" and Maddie said "no, never!" I eventually lured her in with the promise of lot's of bubbles!
