A Perfect Princess Party

Yesterday's celebration in honour of Emma and Madison's 2nd Birthday was a huge success. We had a ton of people, and especially a ton of kids. It was really nice. Last year we did not have as many kids at their party, so we were happy to have so many this time around. The age range was 7-years-old to almost 2.5-months (my nephew Makua). Their future husbands Kyle and Lee were there (twin boys, so it works out well). We also had my cousin Jenn's daughter Katie, and the following friends and their kids: Sondra and her gorgeous daughter Emily, Arlene and her pretty princess (who adores the kids and is a great babysitter) Emma (we call her Big Emma), Sarah and her cutie-pie Lily, Diane and Rick and their twins Gillian and Olivia, Cindy and her handsome little man Petyon, Nancy and Nick and their infant Jacob and my niece Tynen, who is a great big sister to Makua and a great cousin.

The theme of the party was a Princess theme (what else for my little divas) and Sondra got them these amazingly diva-ish Princess tiaras. They wore beautiful Gymboree dresses, and they looked gorgeous. All the kids were so well-behaved and they got along famously. Emma and Lee snuck upstairs to the playroom up there to get away from the noise and they played beautifully together. It was really cute. Elaine (Kyle and Lee's mom) would peek around the corner to check on them and they were sharing toys and reading books together quietly. We joked that years from now we will have to keep an eye on these two lovebirds! They are already sneaking off into rooms by themselves!

The girls got amazing presents, everyone is so generous. We got to play with all the new toys and read all the new books today, I have already sorted the clothes into what they can wear now and what they will wear in the Spring! So much fun! This morning I let them open their gift from me, backpacks and a dvd (101 Dalmatians) and Emma started singing "Happy Birthday" again. It's neat that they are aware of what the day is about, compared to last year. We thank everyone who came and hope they all had a great time!

The princesses sound pretty well perfect. And there sure were a lot of twins at the party. Happy Birthday Maddie and Emma!
